Fontodi is located in the heart of ‘Conca d’Oro’- or the Golden Shell - a curved valley shaped like an amphitheatre to the south of the village of Panzano.
Their vineyards cover more than 100 hectares and are cultivated organically so the wines reflect the character of their magnificent Panzano origins as faithfully as possible.
Olives, hay and other arable crops are cultivated together with Chianina beef cattle to create a true ecosystem whose aim is to be self-sufficient and increase biodiversity.
The estate has belonged to the Manetti family since 1968 and over time has become renowned for its Chianti Classico Fontodi, Vigna del Sorbo Gran Selezione and even more so for its multi awardwinning Flaccianello della Pieve.
